About USAA Auto Insurance
USAA, also known as the United Services Automobile Association, was established in the 1920s by a group of 25 Army officers who were frustrated by not being able to get life insurance because they were considered high-risk by most insurance companies.
After its founding, the leaders at USAA began to offer other insurance and financial products that military members and their families would need to protect themselves and plan for their financial futures.
Since its inception, USAA has grown its insurance footprint to over 8 million members (policyholders) and has a net worth of over $19 billion. Through conservative leadership and dedication to its members, USAA has won awards from organizations like Forrester Research, Council of Better Business Bureaus, and Fortune 500.
While offering a comprehensive list of insurance products and delivering extraordinary customer service to its customers, USAA has become the fifth largest insurance company in the U.S. even though they do not sell policies to the general public.
USAA’s Financial Stability Ratings
Insurance companies with high financial ratings demonstrate that the promises made in the insurance contract with a policyholder will be kept and paid as long as the policy remains in force. USAA demonstrates the company’s financial stability through national rating services as follows.

hit by an uninsured driver. Most policies will have a limit per-day and per-accident.
Besides these standard coverages that protect you, your family, passengers, and your vehicle, USAA also offers Accident Forgiveness which means if you remain accident-free for five years at USAA, your premium won’t go up after one at-fault accident.
