Doug Mitchell has been in the insurance industry since 1995. Starting out he was a representative of Horace Mann Insurance Company focusing on educators. Later he moved on to work with New York Life Insurance Company insuring business owners, professionals, and their families. In 2005, Doug founded Ogletree Financial to offer his clients more options from many companies. By expanding the number of carriers available, he could better tailor the needs of his clients.
Doug graduated from Auburn University with a degree in finance. He has been a member of Million Dollar Round Table and earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation through the American College. He also served two years as president of the Auburn-Opelika Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Doug stays abreast of the latest trends in the insurance industry with daily reading, conversing with colleagues, and maintaining his knowledge with consistent continuing education.
When Doug is not working, he enjoys golfing, mountain biking, boating, fishing, Auburn University football, traveling, and time with family and friends. Doug is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Auburn, Alabama.
Holly Mitchell’s background in insurance goes back to 1985 when she worked for her father who was a New York Life agent. Upon graduating from Auburn University with a degree in marketing, she earned her real estate license and was a Realtor selling residential real estate for fifteen years. During that time she was Rookie of the Year and president of the Lee County Association of Realtors.
Holly moved back to the insurance industry in 2008 to work with her husband Doug. Her previous insurance experience and background in sales contributes to her love for her current position.
Some hobbies Holly enjoys are being on the water, traveling, light sewing, reading, Auburn University football, and being with family and friends. Holly is an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Auburn. She serves on the welcoming and communications committees and also enjoys the Presbyterian Women’s bible study.
